Information
for Parents

Sending your child to a summer program can be a stressful experience. We want to put your mind at ease.  Here you'll find some pertinent and commonly asked questions. Have additional questions? We are a quick email or call away.

COVID

The University follows government and state advisories.  While the University advises students stay up to date with COVID vaccinations, it is no longer required for attendance. Should the program be forced to cancel due to a government or state mandated closure, all payments will be refunded.

Keeping Contact/ATMs

Students may bring their own cell phone and laptops. Amazon deliveries may be made to the campus. An ATM and vending machines are available in the Lackland Center.

2

Medical Needs

Upon registration, you will have the opportunity to notate whether your child has a medical or physical condition we should be aware of prior to arrival. After completing this, we will contact you for additional information. There are eight handicap-accessible apartments. Apartments are equipped with full-size refrigerators for students requiring the refrigeration of medication.  Hackettstown Medical Center is 5 minutes from the University.

3

Roommates

Students staying overnight are placed with roommates by age and gender. A resident assistant lives on each floor with the students.  We will try to honor any roommate requests but cannot make guarantees. Requests should be made by May 30th.

4

Student Ages/Grades

Students attending the Teen Summer Academy must be rising grades 9-12.

5

Supervision

Centenary University security is available around the clock.  Students will be supervised by resident assistants day and night, even during class time.  There is a strict curfew and continual activities to keep students engaged both in and out of class.

For Those Flying In

The closest airport is Bethlehem, PA followed by Newark International Airport. Full payment and itineraries must be submitted by May 25th.
