Centenary University has a 155-year tradition of providing high-quality liberal arts and professional studies while helping students gain the skills and connections they need to prosper in today’s world. A historic institution with a progressive spirit, Centenary is at the forefront of innovative programming in higher education offering the first Masters degree program in the world in Happiness Studies, one of the top ranked equestrian programs in the nation, a robust theater program with a professional equity theatre company based on campus, and non-conventional undergraduate programs like CSI, Fashion Design, and Sports and Entertainment Management.
Located in the heart of northwest New Jersey’s historic Skylands Region, Centenary is a private, co-educational and close-knit university community — an environment where every professor and staff member invests in student success. Centenary students pursue their academic interests in bachelor’s, master’s and professional certificate programs. More than half of the full-time professors have earned their PhDs.
The Academy
The Academy is a robust year round offering of programs for children and teens. It is developed to serve a greater need for creative, pre-college and career exploration. Pedagogy focuses on multiple learning styles with an emphasis on hands-on kinesthetic learning. Courses are held online and in-person on the Centenary University campus Saturdays, Winter Break, and Summer Break

The Academy is designed to facilitate a love of academia at a young age. Kids Academy offers enrichment programs that are fun for children, but equally educational and developmental. Teen Academy is designed to prepare high school students for their college journey, supplement their secondary learning, and explore potential career interests.
